the raven
"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'"

Is that even a raven?
aha.
nope it's a crow.
but the raven's a poem by edgar allan poe. and i've quoted the first paragraph in the middle bit there. it's one of my favourites.
i am not familiar with this simpsons episode, sorry. ;P
i love this poem, it's simply timeless. I never tire of it.
